Counseling

Crystal Miller - 5th Grade Counselor

I am Crystal Miller, the 5th-grade school counselor at Davis Intermediate School.  This is my first year serving at Davis and my 5th year working here in wonderful Wylie ISD.  Prior to being a school counselor, I was the district ECLC and FASE K-6 Learning Specialist.  As a teacher, I taught 1st grade and in all areas of special education, from inclusion to a variety of self-contained settings.

I am a proud mama of 2 wonderful children: Eleanor (16) and Gabriel (13).  We live in Fate and both kids attend Rockwall ISD.  My husband, Carl, and I moved from Las Vegas in 2006, and go back to visit Lake Tahoe every summer with the family.  We love to hike, zipline, and do all things outdoors.  Our favorite thing to do is have dinner as a family and movie night.

This year our district theme is BELIEVE.  We believe in ourselves; we believe in our team and we believe in our community.  I am here to answer questions or listen to your concerns regarding your child’s development or well-being at school.  I look forward to serving the Davis family and students.

Shamone Wilson - 6th Grade Counselor

This is my 16th year in education and my 4th year here at Davis Intermediate School. Throughout my professional career, I’ve worked in school districts in North Carolina, Oklahoma, Maryland and Texas in the capacity of a Special Education Teacher and a School Counselor. I truly enjoy being a counselor! I get to assist and support students in their academic, personal, and social and emotional learning development and growth. I also get to collaborate with my administrative team, teachers, staff members and parents in helping to prepare our students to become our future leaders of tomorrow! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and shopping! It is my absolute privilege to be able to help serve my school and my community!

It's going to be a great new year!
