When I was in Dodd, there was an amazing 4th grade teacher, Mr.White. He really inspired me to strive for the best and he helped me learn a lot for the half year I was there.

At Davis, there are several teachers that are so sweet! The first one I will mention Ms.Mcklveen in 5th grade. She is always patient and kind when giving instructions...really she is patient with anything!

Second, is Mr.Mitchell in 6th grade. He always tries hard every day to make us laugh and tries his best to make learning fun and it really pays off!

All of these teachers have taught me how to become a better me and I'm truly grateful.

Being part of Wylie ISD has to be a great experience for me in my first year; they taught me that every mistake is an opportunity to learn what you did wrong.

Some kids bullied me, and I took it the wrong way. I thought they wanted to fight, but they didn't. The teachers at Davis taught me to look at things differently, and it turned out the other kids were jealous.

If you come to Davis Intermediate, you will learn new things, not just about academics, but about life.

My favorite things in Wylie ISD are UIL and Adventure Camp. As a 5th grader I have not been to either yet this year but I am so excited to experience all of the activities we are doing.

I love Wylie ISD with all my heart especially the staff & students. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this a campus I want to walk into every day with my head held high and my smile as big as a mountain.

Growing up in Wylie allowed me access to more opportunities than imaginable. Being exposed at a young age to the countless options I had for my future was so insightful and inspiring. It was because of the impact my Wylie teachers had on me, that I knew I was meant to come back and influence young learners just the same.

I couldn't be more grateful to now teach at the intermediate school I once attended as a student and for how Wylie ISD prepared and supported me throughout my journey to get here.

I had just finished my 25th year of teaching in another district and all I wanted to do was retire. I had lost my "WHY".

I decided to try Wylie ISD, I taught 6th-grade science this year at Davis Intermediate. I found my love of teaching again - I rediscovered my "WHY"!

We spent 5 years at Cox Elementary and the relationships that the teachers work to build with their students are amazing. Specifically for us, we found Mrs. Ozols to be outstanding. She was a fan of my children, even the one she never got to have. She was a fierce protector.

She taught the students where they were and helped them grow to where they needed to be. Her ability to relationship build is what makes her special and a great example of what makes Wylie ISD special. I am so thankful for Mrs. Ozols, Cox Elementary and Wylie ISD.

I love how much Wylie ISD communicates with parents. This tells me they truly value the delicate balance of school and home life, and how we need to work together to help the student build confidence and feel success.

One of my children who attends Wylie schools is disabled and the love and care the teachers show is seen, felt, and appreciated. I see inclusion and acceptance happening in our community and I believe our Wylie public schools pave the way for that.

We moved here over 5 years ago with a new 2nd grader and a preschooler. We moved from Allen ISD due to Wylie being more affordable with comparable schools. I was a nervous mother with a nervous child. But we have had great experiences the last 5 years.

Birmingham Elementary has now had both boys and our youngest just finished 4th grade and is moving on to Davis. Our oldest starts 8th grade at McMillan and the fine arts program, specifically the band program, has been so positive for him. Our oldest has found his niche and is doing so well both academically and socially. Our youngest finished his kindergarten year virtually and finished 4th grade strong and is doing well and is on track both academically and socially.
